"The April rain, the April rain,
Comes slanting down in fitful showers,
Then from the furrow shoots the grain,
And banks are fledged with nestling flowers;
And in grey shawl and woodland bowers
The cuckoo through the April rain
Calls once again."

    There is a wide range of possible causes which lead to weight gain.
    First of all It's important to look into the person habits. Every person has an own intake of energy from foods and an output which depends on physical activity, basal metabolism et cetera. If the balance is positive, the person is likely to gain weight. In addition, the genotype may lead to a greater chance of weight gain. A mutation on a gene, let's call it A, can lead to hereditary hypothyroidism in which there is alowed metabolism that results in lower output of energy; another mutation on gene B for example, may lead to an alteration of the leptin regulation. In fact, leptin, also known as "the hormone of energy expenditure", regulate the fat storing and its usage in the adipose cells (our fat). People who have theese mutations, even though they have an healthy lifestyle, they will gain weitght.
    Thus, It's important to figure out what the problem is. Every person is an olistic entity resulting from the combination of bioloical, social and psycological aspetcs.
    Whatever alteration in this trinity may lead to many problems and the weight gain one of the commonest.

    Eating too much makes me fat, especially if I don't do enough exercise. One time after I had an accident, I was given lots of chocolates. I wasn't doing any exercise and did I put on a ton of weight!
