"The April rain, the April rain,
Comes slanting down in fitful showers,
Then from the furrow shoots the grain,
And banks are fledged with nestling flowers;
And in grey shawl and woodland bowers
The cuckoo through the April rain
Calls once again."

Which methods do you prefer for learning new words?

Hi,

please can you share your experience with learning new words?

I prefer to listen podcasts and print pdf with line-by-line audio.

    For me, as I'm very visual, I need to see the words written down. Better still, I need to write the new words down and then try to form sentences using them both in written form and speaking them @MartinC.

    I use them in my poetry. We daily have a word prompt where we have to use a new word in our poem, so it is fun learning words like this.

    Hello I am new here.
    I use an app called Anki, at least for me is awesome, it has been helping me for 10 months more or less and my vocavulary is much better than before.
    So, try it, and let me know.

    When I listen or read a new word then I google it for the meaning and I try to remember those words though I don't use all newly learned words in writing or speaking.

    As @Juanj said, Anki is awesome. If I were you, I should take a look.

    When i learn new words, first that I do it`s listening some video with subtitile in english. While i listening i at the same time write down word which i don`t know her meaning. When video end up, i read that word which a wrote down, and again listen many times same video, but this time subtitles always been off.
