Does anybody know "Baumstriezel"?
Today I was surprised by a new (new for me) food at the local medieval market: "Baumstriezel". It's a leavened dough cake from Transylvania. My friend told me that it have been invented to test the heat of an oven. They sell it for 5,50€, even though it's only a hole with some dough around it. I tried a little piece with cinnamon, it's not bad!
