By all these lovely tokens
September days are here,
With summer’s best of weather
And autumn’s best of cheer.

Helen Hunt Jackson - September
The breezes taste
Of apple peel.
The air is full
Of smells to feel-
Ripe fruit, old footballs,
Burning brush,
New books, erasers,
Chalk, and such.
The bee, his hive,
Well-honeyed hum,
And Mother cuts
Like plates washed clean
With suds, the days
Are polished with
A morning haze.

John Updike, September

@enes here I am: patient, spontaneous, honest, creative and tender.

@Paulette ı think you are so open minded too :)

@enes I am glad to meet young people who are creative and active. I like you, you remind me of the many students I've educated for 43 years and that I now miss a bit.

    Short, dark-haired, brown-eyed (that's five words).

Impulsive, impatient, sometimes grumpy, forgetful, and sometimes careless are five words to describe my shortcomings.

@dope, @daikha, @april how would you describe yourself in five words?
  • aprilapril Moderator Posts: 10,173 mod
Patient (only for people in need, though) , just, sense of humour but pessimistic and last but not least sometimes sarcastic. :)

@mheredge indeed to describe shortcomings I also have more than five words. On that way I am sometimes too reckless, too slowly, too untidy, arrival too late, absent-minded, dominant and so much more. :D

I am sometimes punctual to a fault (this can be a shortcoming too @Paulette). I am definitely absent-minded. I can be quite stubborn too.

I have never heard you being sarcastic @april. They say that sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.

I am, @mheredge , but then it's because that person deserves my sarcasm. (In my opinion, of course. Other people could say that I was wrong myself).
