"The April rain, the April rain,
Comes slanting down in fitful showers,
Then from the furrow shoots the grain,
And banks are fledged with nestling flowers;
And in grey shawl and woodland bowers
The cuckoo through the April rain
Calls once again."

    "But" indulged you in a sense of contradiction as you seem to be confident and loyal in your love to English; yet you express tha kind of surrender. All in all, keeping up the confidence will assuredly help you recover the fluency you ve missed. It is only a matter of time and love ;)

    As for me, the best way to learn is to seize opportunities. Explore the world around you through the lense of that language you re learning

    The best way is to keep using English, wether with or without people around. Try to put what you see, what comes to your mind in words. Every moment can become a practice.
