There is wind where the rose was,
Cold rain where sweet grass was,
And clouds like sheep
Stream o'er the steep
Grey skies where the lark was.

Nought warm where your hand was,
Nought gold where your hair was,
But phantom, forlorn,
Beneath the thorn,
Your ghost where your face was.

Cold wind where your voice was,
Tears, tears where my heart was,
And ever with me,
Child, ever with me,
Silence where hope was.

I used a blanket the past couple of nights. Just a sheet wasn't quite enough. It's a bit cooler again here at the Tibetan settlement where I'm staying. I might need the duvet that's waiting, rolled up on the bed.

And here it keeps raining, so calm and quiet, and the sun didn't show your yellow face today yet, maybe in the late afternoon, who knows?

It was foggy this morning and it made every where very scary.
We couldn't see very farther than 2 meters. I didn't wonder if I saw a zombie middle of the fog.

We were blown up the centre of England. The van got us through flooded roads and managed to deliver us safe and sound.

Amusingly the weather forecast from the meteorological office was for 70 - 80 mph winds, but the press kept saying they would hit 100 mph. I guess 80 mph wasn't exciting enough for them.

Here's one headline (which was in a very large font): Deadly 100mph storm chaos.

It went on: A ferocious storm is set to ravage Britain today, bringing chaos to shoppers and travellers trying to get away for Christmas.

    It's amazing we all survived.

I hope you are all well out there @Lynne, also hope that the press have exaggerated a bit.
I wish that good winds blow around! [-O<

Glad to hear you all alright @Lynne.
In the news they said: stormy weather in the southern of England.
I hope Laika was not too frightened.

Today has not stopped raining one minute, and the forecast is that tomorrow will be the same. I hope that tomorrow is not below 15 ° C, because my people feel very cold.

In spite of the stormy weather I was able to do my Christmas shopping today.
Only food shopping @Lynne, not searching for handbags or shoes. :)
But don't ask me how I looked during my shopping activity because I looked terrible, suffering from the wind and the rain. :(
On the street I came across a friend.
My goodness! How could she still looked so beautiful in such a weather!
For me, this day was one of the bad hair days of the year; the worst probably. :))

Today still has a little fog, the temperatures is between 0ºC and 2ºC in NanJing China.
When I walk to my office that will be wearing winter clothes, but I also feel like freezing myself.

!Note - "I feel like freezing myself" sounds as if you are about to deliberately jump into a freezer.

@ Lynne, I saw a few picture and thought on you. The Christmas Wonderland in Hyde Park, we were a few winters ago, was closed due to the stormy weather.

Did the UK get a white Christmas after all? It was a beautiful sunny day here, starting off a little cool, but by lunch time it was a bit warmer than the previous few days.

A few days ago here the landscape was white, but now after the warm breeze everything is green with lots of brown little molehills.
This morning I wasn`t aware of the warm weather and wore my Long Johns for my daily walk. I was just too lazy going home for a change.

!Note - for a change means you do something different. For example: We usually eat pizza on a Friday, but tonight we ate curry for a change.

It is quite warm for this time of year. However a very strong wind is blowing in the mountains nearby. It has caused a lot of damage. :(

Yes Prosey it's really strange actually, this weather.
No winter at all and it worries me a bit. Is global warming already that far?

It's getting warmer. I think it was 28 degrees this afternoon, but even now it's still 24 degrees (7.30pm).

I don't know, April. But it is not improbable that Russian winter will come in January. Weather is unpredictable nowadays. I remember a warm December and minus 20 degrees afterwards.

I don't want to go outside; the wind will blow me away. [-O<
