There is wind where the rose was,
Cold rain where sweet grass was,
And clouds like sheep
Stream o'er the steep
Grey skies where the lark was.

Nought warm where your hand was,
Nought gold where your hair was,
But phantom, forlorn,
Beneath the thorn,
Your ghost where your face was.

Cold wind where your voice was,
Tears, tears where my heart was,
And ever with me,
Child, ever with me,
Silence where hope was.

@balu welcome on the forum. You are from India. I know India from the history of father Lievens. This man was born in Belgium in 1856 and I live nearby his birthtplace. He left Belgium for India and he lived in Chotanagpur so a 300 km from Calcutta and he started then a mission In Ranchi.

Hi, I am from Belgrade, which is capital and the largest city of Serbia. There are two millione people in Belgrade and always something happens.

@Lana what I know about Serbia is his complicated geography, but I learned earlier at school about Yugoslavia, but about 10 years ago everything changed. ( I am ritered now)
What me at that time fascinated was the story of the Ottoman Bridge. It was supposed to be a prescribed culture, that sixteen-year-old boys from Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina jumped from the historic bridge Stari Most in the icy Neretva River to start a successful life as an adult.

@Lana (and @markov)I first visited Yugoslavia in 1981 before it split into several different countries. I returned last year to visit Lubjiana, Zagreb, Sarajevo and Split. I will go back as I need more time to explore the region.

In 1981 my friend and I were travelling by train inter railing in Eastern Europe @Paulette - Czechoslovkia, Hungry, Romania, Bulgaria and Yugoslavia. Yugoslavia hardly seemed communist in comparison to the other countries (Hungry seemed a bit more liberal than the others too). We were about the only western tourists travelling to these places then! It was a fascinating trip.
