"Still lie the sheltering snows, undimmed and white;
And reigns the winter's pregnant silence still;
No sign of spring, save that the catkins fill,
And willow stems grow daily red and bright.
These are days when ancients held a rite
Of expiation for the old year's ill,
And prayer to purify the new year's will."

    Starting in 15 minutes. We will be looking at idioms that describe people today. Hopefully with less lag than yesterday's session - fingers crossed.

    Fingers crossed. But why is the time set to 10:00am in Berlin time on WJ, which is different from the one on the calendar?

    The time changed this year. On my calendar it shows 10am CET. You might need to refresh your cache.

    It was Dublin Time, not Berlin Time, so one hour later than 10am.
    Maybe you had set it when you were in UK, @Lynne ?

    Ah, that's what I meant. Thank you @april I got it.

    A senior moment @april . Sorry! (Luckily only 4 people registered, and you all managed to join.) /me scuttles off to fix it.

    Okay, it should be set correctly now. (The old webinar used to do it automatically.)

    The Webinar Replay Video for B2B doesn't work, @Lynne .
    When I click the link, it opens the forum
    http://www.learn-english-forum.org/group/4-join-us-for-webinars .
    Is it only me?

    That's correct April. The B2B replay is disabled. I will add you to the YouTube replay. I have sent it. (It's only available to people who attended the session.)

    Well because of today's "issues" we can make this week's session public. Every cloud has a silver lining. :wink:
  • LynneLynne Your Teacher HomePosts: 8,695 mod
    We will start looking at the past tense today.
  • LynneLynne Your Teacher HomePosts: 8,695 mod
    We will continue next week with more practise.

    Don't forget - informative "We aren't ..." - argumentative "We are not..." - defensive "We are not... / We aren't"
