"The April rain, the April rain,
Comes slanting down in fitful showers,
Then from the furrow shoots the grain,
And banks are fledged with nestling flowers;
And in grey shawl and woodland bowers
The cuckoo through the April rain
Calls once again."
Mathilde Blind, April Rain

Is there a remote or time switch for taking selfie with a thing like this @GemmaRowlands? You can see how much I take selfies!
If you are using your phone with a selfie stick then there is usually a timer feature on your phone. Some more sophisticated selfie sticks have a button on the handle that works via bluetooth.
Camera all usually have self-timers, so I suppose it's only to be expected the mobile phones nowadays will have this too. I suppose people have been taking selfies for a long time if you take this into account.
@mheredge taking many shots in a minute also indicates a kind of madness because you don't get satisfied with them as well. My sister recently broke her mobile whilst taking her selfie with a selfie stick. Now she stopped using the selfie stick.
But has your sister stopped taking selfies @Bubbly? I guess not. I think it is addictive. I wonder how much time people spend admiring their pictures afterwards.
@mheredge not all of them. Only one sister is addicted to it. I don't think people admire the old selfies. They just keep them in folders after sharing them.
I don't know why I always have this luck to see this kind of picture after finishing my meal. (I have rich imagination. hhh...) Feel a bit nausea now.... @mheredge
My friend's younger sister took a selfie of us all having lunch today. I guess she's 'sharing' it around. I was more conventional and asked the waitress to take a photo as for me it's a good souvenir of a lovely meal with my Vietnamese friends from Ho Chi Minh City.
I haven't put anything on Facebook yet @Bubbly. I still have a backlog from Chiang Mai! I should do something about this later today as I need to backup the photos on my camera before I go north to visit central Vietnam tomorrow.
It varies from person to person @takafromtokyo. Most of my friends post very interesting stories they have read from the media, some (like me), put photos of places they have been to (no selfies), I use it to scan the top headlines, and occasionally with schoolfriends, they post funny comments. Generally I quite like it, but I think it depends who you allow to be your Facebook friends. Youngsters probably use in very different ways!

The tourist tripped over while taking the selfie and disturbing the sleeping croc, was bitten in the leg.
@Grillo
It's terrible, especially when those people with selfie sticks swarm around and take up practically the whole space.
