Which new car would you buy?

GemmaRowlandsGemmaRowlands ModeratorPosts: 4,078 mod
If you had the ability to go out and buy a brand new car, right now, which one would it be - and why?

I have just treated myself to a new car that I am having custom-made, and I am very excited indeed about picking it up!

So, that's why I want to get everyone here involved in my excitement! :D

What do you mean by "had the ability to go out"? Sorry i don't get it Gemma.

At this moment and time i didn't had any intention to buy a brand new car, since there are research on the internet has ranked us the 2nd place most expensive country to buy a car behind the Singapore. Don't have that much money, just drive what i got.

But if there's more money left, i decide to buy a car based on my budget first. 2nd safety features, 3rd Looks and appearence. 4th maintenance and spare parts. But there's another factor too, practicality, big boots and fuel saved.

What kind of custom-made have you done Gemma ? I hope it's not a Hello Kitty decals, and newly pink painted. LOL

Sorry - my colloquialisms! Basically.. "if you could buy a brand new car" is what I mean!

Haha, no! I'm not a "girly girl" and I'm definitely too old for Hello Kitty! I've asked for some changes to be made to the standard stereo system and the material on the seats inside the car. Nothing bad!

Don't worry it's not a bad thing as long as you happy and enjoyed your driving.

Ah i see, mostly peoples goes to the car accessories shop, and having a good audio system is a must Gemma, we can shake our body, put our hand in the air while driving, i've done that with my friends on a long journey, so we don't need to feel bored.

Which transmission do you prefer Gemma, Manual or Auto ?

I'd go for one of those lovely Mini Coopers (red). I used to be a Mini driver way back. I love the new design and they are so compact. Fuel economy is important these days. And a small car can park in the tightest spots.

That said, I don't really need a car since public transport is cheap and very good in Nice.

I passed my test in an auto, so that's all I'm able to drive! I have issues with anxiety, and the different things you have to think about in a manual made me panic.. but for whatever reason I'm fine in an auto!

Thank you! I'm sure that I will enjoy it when it arrives. I am getting very excited now, just waiting for the call to tell me it's ready for me to pick up.

There's nothing like the smell of a new car is there @GemmaRowlands !
I would buy a Maserrati Grancabrio. Money being no object of course! I think they are a beautiful car. I never recognise any other make but can always spot a Mas!

My new car smells lovely! But they had put an air conditioner in it, which changed the smell a little bit. I have taken that out now!
