There is wind where the rose was,
Cold rain where sweet grass was,
And clouds like sheep
Stream o'er the steep
Grey skies where the lark was.

Nought warm where your hand was,
Nought gold where your hair was,
But phantom, forlorn,
Beneath the thorn,
Your ghost where your face was.

Cold wind where your voice was,
Tears, tears where my heart was,
And ever with me,
Child, ever with me,
Silence where hope was.

Dear diary, Today I'm back to where I can brew up a nice real coffee instead of a hybrid chicory mix.

Thank you for reminding me to take my camera tonight @mheredge.

    Dear diary,

I am going out tonight, but I haven't got a stitch to wear. (It's just too cold to wear anything dressy.)
  • mheredgemheredge Teacher Here and therePosts: 28,148 mod
You need more than a stitch in that weather @Lynne!

    Dear Diary
Today I'm going to Fort Cochin's Navy Day. Sadly no cameras allowed. (I might be a spy for the Chinese).

    Dear Diary,

I must remind @Helvio that days of the week are capitalised.

@Nil, exams are a testing time. (See what I did there?) I feel for you, but if you really, really dislike them, organise your life in such a way that you can change the system in the future. Maybe start an online campaign with your fellow students.

@Science24 - The aim of any teacher should be that their students will surpass them. Keep going @Helvio.
  • [Deleted User][Deleted User] Posts: 657
So @Lynne can I take your place? :D
  • LynneLynne Your Teacher HomePosts: 9,593 mod
If you think you're up to it @Nil. How are your correction skills?
  • HelvioHelvio Posts: 1,860 Inactive
So, some words in my defense:

If you look to the Nil's post you will see that it was changed in the same time when I did mine.

When I did my comment there was another phrase.

@Lynne, you know I have you in high esteem and never treat you disrespectfully. :\">
