This month is Ramadhan in my country Indonesia. What we do in Ramadhan is fasting, we don't eat or drink until the sunset. beside eat and drink we should control our emotions. So anyone here do fasting too in Ramadhan this year?
i want to know tradition in your country while Ramadhan, an how long do the fasting itself?

My religion doesn't follow Ramadan - however there is a lot of discussion about it in my country at the moment, as the period clashes with important exams in schools, colleges and universities, and many young people are struggling as a result of this.

Ramadan is not only about not to drink or eat but also is to share the poor in their feelings of starving all the time

    Hi @hraulia , Ramadan Kareem.

I do fast in Ramadan, it's obligation for all Muslims to fast in Ramadan except for elderly that can't fast, children and sick people. this year the hours of fasting are about 16 hours in my country.

As you said, Ramadan is the month of controlling, control your eating, your anger, your desires and of course it is the month of sympathizing, sympathy with poor that can't eat the 3 main meals that are intuitive for us, to sympathy with our parents that work hard to feed us, etc

Not to forget to mention the Eid and the all joy the it brings after this holy month! a lot of sweets, new cloths and family visits after being away for 30 days in quite of religious mood.

Yes, we are in Ramadan in Iran too.I think all the muslims do the same work . We are in summer time the weather is hot , you have to watch not to become thirsty . last night we went to the mosque to prey and read Quran , it was very crowded , In the middle of the night ,the voice of the Quran was broadcasted from the speaker .
