I'm in food heaven here in Thailand. Yesterday I had sea bass that was stuffed with lemon grass and BBQ'd over a fire, accompanied by a papaya and chilli salad.

@joncunha Well, I used to taste junk food when I was a child. When I grow up, I know some harmful junk food, so I avoid eating them to save my health. My health is a bit weak. I enjoy eating somewhat like cereals. It is a healthy kind of food. :o

@mheredge Thailand tourism is awesome. They know clearly how to build a successful tourism industry.
  • joncunhajoncunha Posts: 208 ✭✭✭
You are completely right @Lien. We all should do that.

In my country Indonesia. A lot of restaurants can be found here, Japanese, American, etc. But I rather be in Indonesian restaurant than in another restaurant. It's just because I love Indonesian food. You must taste Indonesian food fellas.

  • mheredgemheredge Wordsmith Here and therePosts: 24,530 mod
I haven't seen dog on the menu here in Thailand @peutoscano. I didn't realise they also liked dog meat. I know it's eaten in China, Cambodia and Vietnam.

A supermarket chain offers the meals in their restaurants half priced from 4pm to until the meals are sold out.
I think it is a great idea and some people can benefit from it, especialley for those you can`t afford a warm meal a day. They even offer a place where you can fill a glass with water from the tap for free.

@mheredge Sorry it was a joke. 2 years ago I saw on NY times website an article 'Dog Meat Trade in Thailand Is Under Pressure and May Be Banned' ( you can find this online). And I know 'the dog-eating community ' is a small minority of rice farmers and day laborers. We on my country, Brazil, we have a small minority and day labores and they eat fried ants ( it's tasty )
