There is wind where the rose was,
Cold rain where sweet grass was,
And clouds like sheep
Stream o'er the steep
Grey skies where the lark was.

Nought warm where your hand was,
Nought gold where your hair was,
But phantom, forlorn,
Beneath the thorn,
Your ghost where your face was.

Cold wind where your voice was,
Tears, tears where my heart was,
And ever with me,
Child, ever with me,
Silence where hope was.

  • Hi there!
I live in St. Petersburg, Russia.
I was born in June of 1914 (just like the year; life was way better back then seems to me).
People who know me invariably call me Sasha.
Sasha can be both male and female name for Russian speaking people but as a rule it’s a male name. (It never happens to Nikita; Nikita is a male name and that's it. Let's pardon Elton John for his Nikita song as he's just gay.)
The history of my country is full of tragedy.
Sandwiched between Europe and Alaska the country had to survive somehow. And it did, it did….
    So here I am.....
