"The April rain, the April rain,
Comes slanting down in fitful showers,
Then from the furrow shoots the grain,
And banks are fledged with nestling flowers;
And in grey shawl and woodland bowers
The cuckoo through the April rain
Calls once again."

  • Hi, I'm arisandi1717
    i'm newbie here, I join this Forum to improve my english skills, especially in writing and speaking...
    would you tell me which group I should join in? thank you.

    @arisandi1717 welcome in this fantastic group. If you want to make progress in writing then you have to write something in the many discussion groups. You will find all sorts of topics under the different categories. The discus groups and categories can be clicked on the left side of your screen, the same as you are now also in the category of new members.
    To speak, you can join the sKype group soon, but you need to be a full member first and you can be admitted by @Lynne, the main teacher and administrator of this platform.
    I hope to meet you very soon in different discussions.

    @Paulette - I think you mean to say "an active member" (having 2 stars) rather than a full member (with 4 stars). Or is it really happening?

    Hi! I have almost the same problem. I'm just afraid of speaking in English, bacuase maybe I will say something wrong or someone won't understand me or think that my English is bad. The same like you I keep silent in those situations. I think we just have to practise and everything will be easier then. I think this is a place which can help us :)

    Hi everyone,

    My name is Sérgio, I'm from Brazil and currently I'm living in Lisbon where I'm taking a master's degree in development and international cooperation. I've been studying English since a long time a go... I'm a bit lazy but now I have to improve my English skills to overcome this obstacle in my professional life. Fortunately I found out this platform and I think that this time I will take some stepforward...and at same time I hope to meet some virtual friends and enjoy myself with all of you.
