"The April rain, the April rain,
Comes slanting down in fitful showers,
Then from the furrow shoots the grain,
And banks are fledged with nestling flowers;
And in grey shawl and woodland bowers
The cuckoo through the April rain
Calls once again."

Hello everybody. I am confused with these words: practice/practise.

Can anybody clarify it to me with some examples?

Oh guys, do you want to know what is confussing?
Listening to @Lynne's explanation about the difference between:
    - to flicker
    - to sparkle
    - to shimmer
    - to glitter
    - to twinkle

To be honest, I'm still, and even more, confused.

Stars don't flicker or shimmer @april, but they can twinkle!
  • aprilapril Moderator Posts: 10,571 mod
Can they glitter or shine, @mheredge ?
  • mheredgemheredge Teacher Here and therePosts: 31,599 mod
You can say that stars are shining. They can also glitter @april.
