By all these lovely tokens
September days are here,
With summer’s best of weather
And autumn’s best of cheer.

Helen Hunt Jackson - September
The breezes taste
Of apple peel.
The air is full
Of smells to feel-
Ripe fruit, old footballs,
Burning brush,
New books, erasers,
Chalk, and such.
The bee, his hive,
Well-honeyed hum,
And Mother cuts
Chrysanthemums.
Like plates washed clean
With suds, the days
Are polished with
A morning haze.

John Updike, September

The ONLY one I have never tried is the Peanut Butter Cup. Probably it's just as well, I adore peanut butter and would sure pig out on these till kingdom come. :)

I reckon Lynne has taken that range from an English list, because some of them sound very British. I would say I have tried out 80 percent of the list.
Schweden Bomben by Nemetz was in great difficulties last year, and the Austrian population bought those bomben as many as possible to get them steady again. I was a big outcry, anyway they had to sell the company. Anyhow the new factory produced the same again, same size, same appearence, same taste. And it is still in Austrian`s hand.

To create one pound of chocolate takes about 400 cocoa beans.

One piece of chocolate bar gives a person energy, which is enough to move up to 150 feet.

If I look at your list, I can skip a few and ad a few others, as far as I'm concerned.

    Kinder Bueno
    Kit Kat
    Koetjes reep

Don't cry, @Lynne; Michele Ferrero, the father of the chocolate-hazelnut Nutella spread, Ferrero Rocher pralines, Kinder eggs and Tic Tac sweets died on Saturday, February the 14th.
    Ha was 89 years old.

I'm wearing a blindfold. No chocolate for me. I'm fat enough as it is!

    Chocolate Monster
    He's a geezer
    But he's only scary
    In the freezer

    Chocolate Monster
    Is filled with rage
    Trapped inside
    His icy cage

    Chocolate Monster
    Broke out for some fun
    But he melted
    In the sun.

    You're welcome, @lichaamstaal .

@lichaamstaal, neither Lynne nor his midwife are to be blamed.

@April, the other day we orderd a Nutella sticker with my daughters firstnames on. But you will have to buy a jar before. The code is written on the lid.
  • FrankFrank Moderator Posts: 5,962 mod
Are you not into Nutella @april?
  • aprilapril Moderator Posts: 10,180 mod
    No, I prefer pindakaas, @lichaamstaal :)
  • FrankFrank Moderator Posts: 5,962 mod
I like the Serbo-Croatian word for pindakaas (peanut butter) @april. That word is: kikiriki - right @komi?
  • mheredgemheredge Teacher Here and therePosts: 27,105 mod
I'm a big fan of peanut butter. That why I think those peanut butter cups would be lethal for me. Have you ever tried these @april? I don't think I knew they even existed.

Yesterday I was very naughty @Hermine. They were selling two for the price of one, so a couple of Mars bars sneaked into my basket. My excuse is that I'm going trekking in a few weeks, so might need emergency sustenance along the way. >:)
  • aprilapril Moderator Posts: 10,180 mod
Do you mean peanut butter cups like this one, @mheredge ?
No, I haen't tried that one!

I'd like this Ferrero Rocher ball, that's for sure.

And these one are peanut snacks with palm sugar, not with chocolate.

Hmm, a lot of cholesterol all of these:).

We would call the last one peanut brittle.

Hey guys, tomorrow is ash Wednesday and the begin of Lent. Please be so good and don`t show any more of those delicious stuff.

This time I don`t give up coffee as I did over the last few years. For this Lent I do something different.
  • LynneLynne Your Teacher HomePosts: 9,489 mod
You aren't joining me in giving up chocolate are you @Hermine?
  • mheredgemheredge Teacher Here and therePosts: 27,105 mod
The Mars bars are still safe in the cupboard. I'm trying to think what I could give up for Lent, but at the moment I can't think of anything that I keep pigging out on.

What are you going to give up for Lent @Hermine?
  • HermineHermine Moderator Posts: 6,259 mod
This time I will be more hm. how shall I say it, nice to myself.
  • komikomi Posts: 421 ✭✭✭
    Yes , that is true @Frank .
And it is the same for: Montenegro, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, fyr Macedonia.
    We all say : -kikiriki-

I pay no attention to chocolates. I like it, but that's not important for me to taste all of them. I have many chocolate lovers around myself and I have to get on with them.
  • mheredgemheredge Teacher Here and therePosts: 27,105 mod
I think chocolate is addictive and the more you have, the more you want.
  • HermineHermine Moderator Posts: 6,259 mod
.. or, the more you want, the more you have around your waist. :)
  • All are yummy!
  • Kit Kat is best

    Sadly true @Hermine.

I like Kit Kat very much too @msalmankhalid23. Which do you prefer, the chunky bars or the traditional slimmer ones?
