"Still lie the sheltering snows, undimmed and white;
And reigns the winter's pregnant silence still;
No sign of spring, save that the catkins fill,
And willow stems grow daily red and bright.
These are days when ancients held a rite
Of expiation for the old year's ill,
And prayer to purify the new year's will."

This quiz is very silly! How posh are you (some of it might be lost outside the Anglo-phone countries I think).

    Not a great quiz, it had nothing about nose picking. ;)

    I'm 53% posh. But they don't know how to spell. :)

    (If you went out in public would you were... Really, how slobby. ;) )

    Great! At last I have found that word. I mean the English word that does not have the equivalent in Ukrainian or Russian. The reason is very simple - we don't have these poshes yet

    Prosey , me too (22% posh) Seems I could well join the chavs' club, though I don't have a cue what one of those is. And there was I thinking that I was fairly conversant with proper etiquette too!

    Can you imagine?????????????????? :-O

    You are 100% Polish ;)!

    100%

    You are so Polish...! You should be proud and happy. Go get yourself some good Polish kielbasa, couple of friends and beer--and celebrate. Polish style. :)

    Some questions are strange though:

    What do most Poles always do on Sundays?
    Have a party with lots of vodka.
    Go shopping.
    Go to church.

    In fact it is about stereotypes. I know what they expect to be the right answer but I don't think it is typically Polish. The same with being Russian:
    "You are 89% Russian!

    89%

    You're so Russian, you're scary. Watch out for that low life-expectancy statistic. In fact, you may want to lay off the vodka right now, to be safe."

    Go shopping Prosey ? Isn't that what a worrying proportion of the world seems to be spending most of their time doing?

    I'd love to try the How Persian are you? test @nil. I've been to Iran once and I like the food. Does that count for much?

    @mheredge most of the questions are about Iranian foods, things that we say during a day, and this kind of questions.
    I didn't get your mean by "does that count for much".

    @mheredge not as many as they used to. But you won't be surprised if you read this: http://futurechallenges.org/local/shock-horror-monster-gender-studies-destroy-polish-families/

    Very interesting article. I don't think all that many people go to church in Britain as they used to Prosey . Sadly shopping malls seem to be the replacement belief system for many people now.

    Eastern too Prosey ! Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai - all big shopping malls. Even in small town Kandy, in the middle of Sri Lanka I was amazed to see the most modern shopping mall. I could have been in Oxford Street in London!
